1975 EVENRUDE 15HP FUEL PROBLEM

I have this 1975 evenrude 15hp runs until the fuel in the bowl is used and then dies, I rebuilt the carb, put a new fuel pump on and check all the
Lines from the tank to the carb, seems like it will keep running if i squeeze the ball when it starts to die, is there something that could cause the fuel
Pumps not to work even when new?? Help please

Did you open the vent on the tank?

An air leak in the fuel line can stop the pump from working, so I'd keep looking.
