Motor had not been started in who knows how long. Today was the first day I got it running since I've owned it. (2 months) The motor shuts off and starts right back up but once I reduce throttle to its minimum it stalls. This video is after it had already been running for about 10 minutes. Changed the spark plugs and gauged them to specs. I pulled the plugs and found a little bit of oil/fuel mixture on 3 out of 4 plugs. Timing issue? Got the motor hooked on to a 1972 Glastron V 163. Its my first restoration. As you can tell in the video at about half throttle it sounds really good but its only close to and at idol where I have issues. Thanks!

A couple of things... 1st, do you have good spark? I understand that you changed out the plugs but did you ever check that out (7/16" jump with a blue spark and crack)? 2nd, have you checked to make sure that you're not leaking fuel anywhere? 3rd, have you done any cleaning or adjustment to the carbs?

Never checked for either. I will check for leaks. Possible that its running to lean? or the fuel/oil mixture. This gas tank was mixed by the guy I got the motor from so idk if its a shotty mix.

Oh and does it seem the water pump is working correctly? I dont really know how to check for that.

Fresh gas properly mixed couldn't hurt any... I checked out the video a couple of times and it's hard to tell how the pump is working and with the water spraying from the muffs. One side note though, make sure if you're going to be revving the motor not to do it for too long and NEVER shift into gear out of water as there isn't enough resistance and you'll burn something out even with the muffs.

I didn't notice a steady stream pumping out of anywhere and I don't remember where the "exit" is for the circulated water. Someone please correct me if I'm, wrong but I thought it was on the right side (side that you showed in the video) just below the head but I couldn't see it flowing. There should be a solid stream, almost like when ya take a leak.

Yeah the exhaust comes out of the prop and it has a auxiliary exhuast port above the water line. I get those **** streams when the motor isnt running then once I start it they kinda go away. Ill make another video. I got a feeling like my Idol rpm is to low. I dont have a tac so its hard to tell. I really need new fuel tho, thats for sure.
