OK, So I just bought the new CDI ignition coils because I am not impressed with the replacement parts provided by Johnson/Evinrude. The part number is CDI 183 4632 and it says it replaces 502890 ignition coils, which is what I have. It says it does this on four cylider engines, but mines a three. I'm hoping that by going by part number is the right thing to do because I think somebody got the cylinder thing wrong. The important part is it replaces the right P/N which is the 502890. Anyways......

What I was wondering is whether anybody has used these before. I think they are pretty solid and CDI comes highly recommended by everybody, even these forums. But my question is do they come with a mounting bracket of some sort. I have three holes on my old ones to mount the coils to the bracket, but I only count two on the CDI coils. the reason I am wondering is because I need the three for grounding reasons on the motor, and the bottom coil needs the three or it will move all over the place. If they don't, does anybody know where I can get a mounting bracket.

I'm sorry for this post, but CDI is very vague on specific installations because they are somewhat "universal" coils. So anybody who has used them on a 70's 3 cylinder jonnyrude your info would be most appreciated.:)
