1975 Johnson 115 lower unit

Hi i have a 1975 johnson 115 and my lower unit just went out i cant seem to find many parts for it and the ones i do find cost alot and i was wondering if i could use a lower end off of a 1978-1991 lower unit? what differant?? thank you

The units that will work are from 85HP, 115HP and 135HP V4 motors from 1973 through 1976 and from 85HP and 115HP motors from 1977.

There are many good used drives from that series because they were very well built.

You might want to call the salvage yards.
