1975 Lund Tyee Cuddy

I just purchased a 1975 Lund Tyee Cuddy. Its a 20ft aluminum boat with a 165 hp Chevy inline 6 in it.
Its yellow in color and has an open type cuddy. I'm trying to find out some information on it but i'm not having much luck. I'm kind of thinking it is not only a unique boat, but it must be kind of rare. I can't find a single picture of another one like it on the internet. Is there anyone that can help find out a website with some information or some one that has owned one of these that can share some of what they know about it.
what i would like to know is yellow original paint and if there are any sales flyer copies out there i could read about it.

That pix has an depth perception illusion. That plywood is the doghouse top. Look towards the front of it where the seat is. You can see it's not on the deck.

Thats the motor cover that needs to be rebuilt. that is in need of replacing.

Sweet rig man!! Yep, that's a rare bird. I bet if you scoured boat yards around the great lakes you might find a few. I bet that was the precursur to the boat they made some years later, the Lund Genmar Sport Cabin. Basically a big water fishing boat. They don't make em any more, probably quit making them in the mid to late 90's. They are coool.
Locate the Coast Guard tag that calls out how many people can be in the boat, max h.p. etc. That tag should have the exact name of the boat on it. Find the full name of the boat then google it, it's got to be out there some where.

Thats what it says on that plate..... Tyee Cuddy. The guy i bought it from said it was a Lund Baron Cuddy so when i went to search for some info on it i couldn't find anything. i looked here in IBoats at the years and makes of the Lunds. I couldn't find anything for a Cuddy except a Tyee Cuddy.I went to look at the plate on the boat and sure enough thats what it said!

I'm sorry to tell you but those boats are rare because they are known to spontaneously explode and there's no way to fix it....




Tell ya what tho.... since I'm such a nice guy, next time I haul a load of boats out that way, I'll pick it up and dispose of it safely.... LOL

I'll attach a few more pictures for your viewing pleasure. I like the spontaneously explode part! I thought about that for just one second and said Your a Funny Guy! I Like that! But for the first half second i thought maybe you were serious!!

I wonder how rare this boat is? I might have to contact LUND to see how many they made if they would have that information yet??????
