I have a 1975 merc 850 runs fine at idle and up to 1/4 throttle but once you go past full throttle bogs out. Carbs removed cleaned. New fuel lines. Fuel pump rebuilt. Screen and inline filter were clear of any debris. New plugs and wires and distributor cap. Also i do have problems getting it to start i have to shoot a little fuel in carbs to get it to start when i first start it after it warms it will start on its own

Since your carbs were cleaned, it is likely the idle mixture adjustment is too lean, causing your bogging problem. Initial setting is 1-1/2 turns open. However, most need to be opened a bit more to allow acceleration. Do this in 1/8 turn increments. Open top carb 1/8 turn and try to accelerate. Next open bottom carb 1/8 turn and try to accelerate. Repeat sequence, testing after every adjustment. You are looking for reasonable idle and smooth acceleration.

For your starting issue. I presume the choke shutters are closing with the choke button? If so, make sure the cold start lever is up all the way. Pump primer bulb hard. Hold choke button down and crank motor until she starts.

Conpression is good? Prop is correct?

Most of the time, 1 1/2 turns is too rich, but does allow the engine to run. I suspect floats set too low, or two gaskets under the inlet seat

When you R&Red the carbs, did you do a Link and Sync of the carbs to ignition?
