1975 Merc 850 steering link

[1960 Starflite]

I have a new to me 1975, 850, 4 cylinder with electronic ignition. I've replace all the wiring, looks like a normal thing to do on these and had it running on stand.

I now want to install it on my pontoon boat. I didn't receive a steering link with the engine. My steering cable nut/rod will fit the thru pivot point.

Can anyone provide a part number or what other engines the steering link may fit?

We now have enough water in Buckeye Lake, Ohio to do some boating

Gee, I would look on the steering cable manufacturer's web site. Teleflex is a popular brand of steering system. The steering links are probably not universal, but they will help you pick out the right one.
