1975 mercury 500 50hp tilt quit

It has been working fine, until today. The pump is working, but not moving, so I put more fluid still nothing. The fluid is not leaking out anywhere. I can physically lift the motor with no problem.any ideas?? Thanks

This may not be your problem...however please see attached clip from the service manual I have which covers tilt/trim, maybe it will give you a place to start...note: I checked, the service manual I purchased and it does not include any restriction on coping.

what would be the proper way to bleed the system? thanks
