I have a 75 Merc 200 #4293438. I received this boat and motor with several problems. The remote control connections were some re-engineered concoction done by a previous owner that I am attempting to correct to the best of my ability without spending too much money on it. I've got the throttle straightened out but the steering has a home made clamp attached to the carry handle that in turn has the steering cable attached to that clamp. While the steering is functional this way, the clamp makes it almost impossible to attach the fuel line to the motor, so I need the factory piece that attaches to the engine. Any suggestions on where I might find one of these and what the proper name of this part is so I could search for it would be helpful.

Connecting the shift cable is the next problem. I've found a couple of different threads here about this problem, but the service manual pictures that were posted don't seem to match up exactly to my motor. I'm evidently in need of a "clevis" that somehow attaches the cable housing to the shifter arm. Here is the thread and pictures I referenced for the information I have about this setup. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=503857 In the last post by Gibbles, the "clevis" is in figure 1 at the bottom of his reply. If anyone could provide a picture from a different angle, it would be very helpful. Also, any information about where I might be able to acquire any of these parts without having to find and buy a complete attachment kit would be nice.

P.S. This motor has electric start as well as some other differences from pictures I've seen, so I'm not 100% sure that it is a 1975 model.

Thanks for any help
Mike

Thank you for the reply. The first 2 pictures do not appear for me but the last 2 do. The bracket/arm that the steering cable is attached to is the part I need. I'm not sure of the proper terminology for this bracket in order to search for one though.
