Looking through the year brochures I found the 1975 and 1976 Chieftan Express 25 ft. These look like Chieftains with a shorter cabin and more aft deck space. The picture even shows a wrapparound couch and entertaining area. Anyone out there have one of these boats? Anyone know where there migth be one for sale. I really like the larger deck over the larger cabin.

If you are sold on "the big one" and want the deck space you are prolly going to want an Islander instead. They are rare.

I'll be hunting for one of those someday too:)

Thanks for the input. I know the 25ft boats are hard to find. An islander or a chieftan would be great. I have a 19' Crestliner. The cabin is the right size, but the aft deck is a little small. Let me know if you see what out there.

That there is a Chief ^^^^. Big, beautiful but less deck space than the Islander. Big cabin though!

Got an interior picture. The difference is in the interior layout. An express will have a table with benches on the port side just behind the cabin.

We'll let you know next year :) He's got a bum transom and the motor is mounted too low. Too much leg in the water I think. Even so, he's probably hitting 45-50 with it now.

His other video shoots up "68 mph at full throttle".

Wow that is wayyyy fast:eek:

I'm not sure what he was using to test the speed but 68mph sounds alittle optomistic to me. He lurks on here (captnoob) so hopefully he'll chyme in and clarify for us.

Ezmobee took it for a test drive and had NO complaints about the speed, though :D

It sure looks like the motor shifts from side to side or is it the camera. Note- the kicker stays steady while the big boy goes wild. My 22 Holiday will do 50 with the 200 Johnson but thats to d-- fast.

I hadnt noticed that until you said something. Now I can't stop looking at that video to see if its the motor or the camera.
