Alright, Im very new to this website for please forgive me if this post is in the wrong area. Ive bought an old dinosaur of an outboard, thats right folks, Its a Wizard! It was produced by Western Auto stores a while back. Anyways,I'll pump gas into it and It runs like a champ when it does run, but the longest it will run is 4 minutes tops. Usually its about 2 minutes. It will stall out and it sounds like its running out of gas. I had a carb clean done, as well as the fuel lines replaced. I even got a brand new tank with brand new gas. The seals are tight. Why does she keep stalling!? Any of your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Well, it certainly sounds like your fuel pump is not pumping. New diaphragm kits are available here at iboats. Think Chrysler.

ALright then Thank you! With small outboards thought, how does that work? I was under the impression that once you prime the fuel bulb its pretty much just syphoning in?

No it can't syphon unless the tank is above the carb. Its a diaphram pump, pressure changes in the crankcase pulse the diaphram creating the pumping action in the pump.
The motor is likely a Eska.If you give us the model number we can tell.
Some Eskas have the pump in the carb others have a seperate pump.A squarish device on the side of the motor with a hose going to the carb.

Just took a look at it to discover the "squarish device" on the carb. I took it apart and cleaned the screen inside. Runs like a champ now! Thanks!
