Before owning this boat, I had a 12 ft Valco. I was just getting started with boating so there was much to learned. But...a start is a start. Soon after hitting the water for the first time after adding a deck onto the 12 footer, I know I wanted something bigger but need to be lite so my Murano can tow. Along came a 17 ft Sea Nymph project and couple of months of tinkering.

The subject, 17 ft Sea nymph that's been sitting in someone backyard. No motor. Paint flaking, dirty, but trailer looks in okay condition. Time to put my spin on it.

Started with a 12 ft valco updo, end with a Sea Nymph. Engine currently installed is a 1972 johnson 65 hp. Learned a lot from this project. I learned I hate painting, but I like how much better things look after a coat of paint. I learned that BOAT brings out thousand acronyms is on point, because you never know what can go wrong or what is NEEDED to be done. It was a fun project and I hope I'm almost done. I still haven't caught a keeper fish on this rig yet, but ... hopeful it'll be my fishing machine in the long run.

Looks like iboats have a size limitation on the pictures and I didn't want to resize all the photos, so I posted the pictures with comments on my google album.
