1976 25hp evinrude outboard

looking to sell it in the near future, but not sure how much to list it for. what would be a good price for the outboard. its in great condition for the year.

Depends on where you live and what the demand is for that size motor. Look to your local Craigslist listings or ebay (again in your local area) to get an idea of what running motors of that size are going for in your area.

Around here (North GA), mid 70's 25 HP outboards get listed for anywhere from $300 to $800.
