1976 35hp cooling issues

I am not sure if this is an issue so I thought I would ask.

My little 35 has a good impeller,
flows water out the correct ports..

However, it does not flow as much out of the cooling ports (up high) as it does out the overflow ports lower on the unit...

Is there s plumbing issue?

Or is this normal?

Sounds about right, you have through hub exhaust, most water goes out through prop.

So just a spray from the water port up high...

a nice flow out from in front of the shaft

and the rest goes out the exhaust in the prop?

I have actually not noticed water out the exhaust when running it on muffs?

I prefer the tank, as the muffs do not always provide great water flow...
