This engine has not been started in over a year. Today I turned it on and it turned over like a champ so we put it in the water. At low speeds it does really good but if you try to advance the throttle it revs up a little bit and then starts to bog down and dies. When I start it back up it turns right over but does the same thing when I try to go faster. We opened her up and the carbs are sweaky clean. Anyone have any ideas on what's wrong or where I should start? Any help would be much appreciate. Thanks!

The way you explain it, it sounds like the high speed jets are plugged. There are other things that should be checked as part of the trouble shooting process, compression and spark are the primary checks to make. It may be the carbs may need to be cleaned.
