I rebuilt my carb doing everything it said in my Seloc manual. I'm at the point of reinserting the needle bearing valve and it does not fit into the low speed idle adjustment. The Seloc manual says it should seat inside but it doesn't go. My question is - Is this something that I really have to push with force? I am afraid of breaking one or more parts.
How do I get these pieces together?

Did you replace the plastic valve retainer? You have to cut new threads as you screw the valve in, so it can be kind of hard.

Are you talking about the bearing or the needle valve itself?

the bearing is what doesn't fit. I pulled pieces of what appeared to be the old bearing out but the new one doesn't just slide down the hole like I expected.

Are you trying to reuse the old one or install a new one?

They normally slide right in, could there be a tiny piece of the old still in there?

nope doesn't even get past the opening, wont even fit past the retainer if I put that in first(I can finagle that if I could figure out the bearing issue)

You mean the bearing will not even fit through the retainer? The bearing should be a little white piece.

Yep, the bearing is a little white piece and it won't go in. Should I push it?

I usually use a flat point punch the size of the bearing. The small end goes in first, correct?

Yep, thats it, be careful and press it in. The punch should fit inside a little.

Thanks. If I don't have a flat point punch, what would you reccomend instead?

Isn't it installed in the picture? Looks like it to me.

No, it wasn't "installed" it won't "seat". Seems like it should be further down that hole... If it doesn't go in any further, I can't get the needle in.
