Ok guys need a little help. I bought a 1976 70 hp evinrude from a guy and long story short there is some water in lower unit.Well lucky for me my buddy just threw a rod in his 1974 70 hp johnson. sold me the motor for parts. so i took the lower unit off his and bolted it to mine while i put new seals in lower. but now forward is reverse are these years not interchangable ?
