Hi Folks:
I'm working on a 1976 Chrysler 75 HP and the trim and tilt motor is not working. I have bypassed the switch that has been referenced in this forum and the results are the same....no clicks, sounds or movement (no smoke, fire or sparks either..that's good!) What do I do next? I almost have the motor/pump off, but I need to let one connection soak overnight. I have removed the three mounting bolts, along with three of the four lines . I should be able to bench test in the next day or two if this will help. I would guess I'm looking for an internal circuit breaker, brushes or an armature issue?? I haven't seen a serial or model number on this unit yet. Are there any sources for brushes or armatures for these out there? Any suggestions that'll save me a couple of hundred bucks is sure appreciated! Thanks!
