1976 Evinrude 25 wiring info? Cadet needs help

I have either a 1975 or 76 Evinrude 25hp with electric start. the wiring harness from the switch to the engine, broke- after a long search- I found one that is a little rough, but thought- I might be able to repair it....it has a 6 pin plug- 2 large battery connections and four smaller pins...my question: it has 4 small pins but 5 small wires, 4 wires are in the harness but this 5th one baffles me- it seems like all 5 were in the other harness...can someone help me figure out where this 5th wire goes? the wire color seems to be black on this wire on this harness and goes back to the switch..thanks..any help is greatly appreciated.

OK,after looking over some other post- i think i have it- u can't see it in the pic, but the black wire on the plug has a butt end crimp connect on it...both black lead wires to the switch are just dangling.does these two wires tie together to kill the motor when the switch is turned to off?

Go to Ebay and buy an OMC service manual for the motor. You need a wiring diagram!

Can I get a full set of pics of that whole configuration of wires? I've been trying to find this wore harness everywhere online and locally!!! Can't find it anywhere and they don't make it anymore!!! I'll have to design one and I do have the manual. If I can get that I'd be glad to copy pages of my service manual for you if you still have this old motor.

Does your motor have a tiller and electric choke

The plug in feature was used in a day when installing / removing the motor was done without the use of any tools.-----Today there is nothing to stop you from deleting that feature and make up your own harness and bolt it on.
