1976 evinrude 85 hp battery connections

just installing my outboard onto my boat and just wondering where the negative/black lead from the battery mounts on the engine? and the positive/red wire connects to the lower thread of the starter solenoid correct? thanks!

The battery ground lead is usually connected under one of the bolts/studs that hold one of the steel bypass covers, but anywhere it makes a good connection to the engine block will do.
