1976 johnson 35hp no go under load

i have a 1976 johnson 35 hp that is hard to start i have to put gas in the spark plug hole for it to crank up with just muffs on it revs high like it should but when i get iin the lake an go wot it revs half of what it should i have done checked the carb links an all rebuilt the fuel pump an carb but in the bowl of the carb that brass jet in the middle of the carb bowl it has like this lil metle thing and it bent on to the 2 lil holes a lilbit is that post to be like that???

could anybody help me or just help me on this what would make it fire sometimes the top plug only fires sometimes????

you still have a dirty carb, the little tube is suppose to be off center. you need to do a through carb cleaning, sounds like you missed the high speed jet. behind the carb drain screw. you have an adjustable low speed jet that has to be adjusted properly also for it to start.
