Have a 1976 Johnson 35hp, that Doesn't start. I know one coil pack was replaced, along with the fuel lines. havent got the flywheel off yet to see if the points or condensors are bad. Has good compression, and pulls smooth. I've read some posts about this model overheating, so i'm planing on impeller & thermostat replacement. It doesnt appear to have any signs over overheating on the power head, and over all looks pretty good for a 30 some year old motor. Are there any other gotchas i should look for. Don't know much about the history of the motor, i could have a cherry or a lemon. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx PC
