We took the timing linkage off and can not figure how to get the return spring back on. Engine runs in full throttle, and will not idle. Would someone please explain how to get the return spring back on. The motor runs good and sounds good.

Thanks, CEarnest

Are you speaking of the fairly large coiled "L" shaped spring that attaches to the top of the vertical throttle arm...... the one which in turn causes the timer base to move when the throttle is advanced?

Thank you Joe Reeves. That is the one I was referring to. I am sorry I had not checked sooner after I sent in the question. You replied so fast. Thanks again,
