I have a 76 merc 1150 that I am inlove with.... Its solid as a rock when she fires up and she moves my 19 ft fiberglass like they were married lol
she starts really hard and misses alot of the time even with the choke ect.
I want to give her a good tune up but I still havent found a manual for it....
I changed the leg oil but I would like to do the carbs, find the right spark plugs and try the combustion chamber cleaner spray in it and see if she wont straighten up a bit....

If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it :)
my serial number is 7075909 its a 76 merc 1150 canadian model....
I need the parts numbers for spark plugs, carb rebuilding, water pump propeller ect ect what ever i should be changing for a good tune up.
Thanks in advance

Look on the crowleymarine.com website for carb gasket kits inlet needles and seats and floats and other parts. Spark plugs are Champion L76V, water pump rebuild kit is standard merc one avail at most marine stores.

Check the spark plug wires for arcing to ground. Check the distributor cap to see that it is clean. The rotor is non-replaceable and quite fragile. Inspect the wiring harness for broken wires and missing insulation. Replace if necessary.

Try a whole can of Seafoam in your gas tank to start the cleaning process in the fuel delivery. Miracle juice. Note: it may smoke a little as it burns out the gunk!
