Pretty sure you'll need to add some additional material to the transom to beef it up as well. The Stringer drive doesn't mount to the transom at all so the transom tends to be thinner & weaker (it was never designed to carry the thrust of the outdrive).
Any way you look at it, you're looking at a very involved & expensive project unless you have cheap/easy access to a full Mercruiser setup (still a ton of work though).
