I need help, I'm having multiple problems with my stringer drive, my electric tilt motor is toast i can hear the solenoid kicking and it push the cap where the shaft and auger sits at the top of case with round cap. My first question how can I remove the motor? Do I need to pull the intermediate? It's a stud type trim motor and second there's a relay looking thing on top of my engine that energized when I hit the trim switch? It looks bad and I can't find any info pls look attachment

you stand on your head and lean up against the back of the stern while removing the tilt motor on a stringer.

basically, the only way I know of getting to the tilt motor on the inside is to stand on ones head and work upside down.

Before you go through the nightmare process of replacing the motor. Try removing the tilt quadrant gear from the outdrive first (3 bolts) That will allow the tilt motor to try to spin with no load on it and possibly free it up to get it working.

cuz yeah , changing that motor sucks in a bad way . Its 2 bolts and probably took me 2 hours figuring out how to get in there. Theres almost no access to it

Because the motor is where it is, moisture gets in there. Remove the motor and open it up. It may just need cleaning. Or it may need replacing
