1976 (or '75?) Volvo Penta in a Glastron T-179

Hi, everyone,

I recently purchased my first boat, a 1976 Glastron T-179 Starflite.
It has the Volvo Penta AQ130C/270. I am having some difficulty tracking down routine maintenance parts – plugs, cap, rotor, points, etc.
I eventually found a couple of references indicating the AQ130C model years were from 1969-1975. The AQ130D was offered for a couple of years starting in 1976.
Is there anyone who may have some information as to whether my 1976 hull may have been offered with an AQ130C? Maybe installed before the C models were exhausted and installations started for the D models?

Also, does anyone have any information for looking up specifics for the older Volvo Pentas?

This is the first of what I am sure will be many question (I already have more, but I figure one question/one thread is best).

I've attached photos of the last part of the HIN that makes me think it's a 1976, and a pic of the engine data tag.

I've poked around this site and the volvopentastore.com site, but didn't see anything correlating years to serial numbers for the AQ130 family. Maybe I just missed it?
You wouldn't happen to have a link would you?

look at the pre 1987 engines

models were not limited to production years. With some searching you should be able to find parts. I'd start with the oem volvo penta parts on this website and identify the part numbers. then, you can cross reference them to other aftermarket brands, depending on the availability.

I was wondering if I was having a difficult time trying to cross reference things like spark plug wires and a distributor cap because I was saying I was looking for a 1976 AQ130C when most references seem to list the last date for that engine as 1975.
