1976 Silverline Deville - All Original
New guy here, just purchased an all original 1976 Silverline Deville, supposed to be a one owner, garage kept boat all it's life and it really does appear to be true as this thing is 100% complete and in excellent condition.
Took it to Silverwood Lake just outside of Hesperia, California last weekend and while it starts and idles really well when I run it at full throttle the engine bogs down and dies after 2-3 minutes.
The previous owner installed a brand new fuel pump and filters and also removed the gas tank and cleaned it too. I have not tuned it up but plan on doing that this week. I'm guessing the carburetor needs to be rebuilt.
Here are a few pictures, the exterior hull has mild oxidation but I'm slowing buffing out the gel-coat and so far it's coming out really nice.
Before
Process
Heavy Compounding with MV81 using a wool pad and a Rotary Buffer - 1500 RPM
Polish with M80 using a wool pad and a rotary buffer - 1500 RPM
Polish with M80 using a W-7006 with a DA Polisher - Speed Setting 6.0
Polishing with M07 with a W-8006 and a DA Polisher Speed Setting 5.0
Sealing with NXT Tech Wax 1.0 by hand using a terry cloth wax applicator pad and really working the wax well into the gel-coat
