Ok guys I hope someone can help me out? Just bought this boat ran it on the lake for 20 min and it quit! got it home and went through the 3 main things. Has good spark, compression and was getting gas to the carb! Well the gas that was in it was full of crap so I cleaned the whole system out of the old gas cleaned and rebuilt carb, found the float had gas in it. Ok so i even pulled the fuel pump off and cleaned it. Its all back together now and I can not get the pump to feed the carb gas now! Is there a trick to this? Do I have to prime the pump? Please HELP me I want to get this boat on the lake.

Thanks, Deck hand

Re: 1976 starcraft SS 4 cyl FUEL PUMP QUESTION

Put a post up in the appropriate I/O repair section with details about your motor and drive and the problem you're having. The boat's make and model is irrelevant in this case and the Starcraft section is not the best one to get motor questions answered.

I think ol EZ means the Starcraft forum is NOT the best place to get your motor questions answered.
Post your questions in the I/O section with year, and engine info..i.e 1986 mercruiser 3.0
The fact its in a Starcraft is irrelavent to the mechanical issue.
Good luck.
(I went to an electric FP on my 4 banger)
