HI csi. How big is the crack? Where is it located along the bottom? Any pics? Generally speaking, you want to weld any major holes/crack below the water line in which case I would seek out a professional aluminum welder in your area. Welding aluminum can be tricky at best, especially with thin hulled aluminum boats. Most welders can get you in and out pretty quick for under $50. If you're lucky he'll patch any other small holes you may have while he's at it. However, if that's not an option, you may be able to get away with drilling a small hole at either end of the crack, to prevent any further spreading, and then sandwich it between two layers of aluminum sheeting slathered with 3M 5200 marine sealant and riveted together. It's not the prettiest repair, but it should hold and you can do it yourself for relatively cheap.
