I traded a 1974 skinoe canoe for this 1976 fishing boat. 14' long and 69 inches at What a deal, It came with a trailer but had a better one so pretty much gave it away. All in all it seemed to be a pretty good Watercraft until I decided to cut a hole in the middle seat for a live well. The spray in foam insulation was as water logged as it could have been. In a space the size of a cooler, just guessing ai would say ai tuuk out 40 lbs. The wood was rotted as well. I then opened up the back bench seat to inspect it as well and it was alot worse than the middle one, the wood came out like sheets of paper towels. Est. weight,80-100 lbs.
After I cleaned all that mess up, which was not as bad as I thought it would have been, I started making the framing for the front and rear deck and floor Some of it was aluminun and some was 2x2 wood. On all the wood I put 2 coats of bin primer sealer, not cheap, 10.00 a qt. For the deck and flooring I' using 1/2'' cdx plywood also with the primer sealer with and extra coat on all the cut edges.
