Well started to pull this motor down, I am wondering if anyone knows the trick to removing the cranckshaft cover? After pulling the whole front of the motor off including all of the reed blocks and bolts, the cover seems to be loose but will not pop. Do I have to remove the lower unit or the lower cowling for this? My sealock manual shows how to take apart the power head but dose not show you how to pop it from the assembly itself. Everything is off from the linkage, flywheel and everything below. I even got those 3 wonderful rusty bolts located under the lower cowling next to the steering arm. I double checked and I do not see where I missed any bolts.
So sorry if I confused anyone with this, just trying to remove a piston and have to remove that cover to do so and from the looks of the manual the only way to do this is with the powerhead completely seperated from the rest of the motor.
Once again thank you for looking and reading my long dragged out post.
