1977 35 hp johnson

Idles fine but and goes slow fine but when you want to hammer down she just sputters. If you rev it up out of gear she will wind out but not when in gear. sucking air in the fuel line maybe??

You could also be losing spark in one cylinder. A 2 stroke outboard will wind up fine (in nuetral) firing on less that all cylinders.<br /><br />See if one plug stops firing when you accelerate it.
