Hey guys, you helped me out once and I am hoping you can again. I recently got the motor running but it doesn't run right. When running I have to chock the motor to get it to run the best. If I don't chock it it will eventually idle down but still run, just not at the proper RPM. I don't know what RPM it runs at but with the throttle wide open and the chock partially chocked it runs and sounds real nice, but with out the chock it sounds like it is running only about half throttle. Hope someone can help me out.

If you have to choke it to make it run, you have carb problems. May be time to overhaul the carbs.

Seriously? I was hoping to avoid rebuilding anything, especially the carbs.

Rebuilding the carbs is not that hard, do you have a manual?

carbs seem to be common issue but needing to be choked could also point to vacuum leak before u tear it down spray some carb cleaner around the intake gaskets to confirm carb issue if it affects running condition without being sprayed into a carb u have a leaking gasket
