1977 70 johnson stator to power pack wire replacement

the wire that runs from the stator to the power pack needs replacement and i was wondering if anyone had a tip to give before i take my flywheel off to investigate the wire.

buy grade 8 bolts to take the flywheel off for your puller, and be patient with it, they tend to almost seize on. buy some good penetrating oil to help remove the flywheel.
