I have a 1977 correct craft southwind. About every third time to start we got nothing. I mean no crank, no click nothing. I have herd that this is a common problem but cannot find out anything about this.

Its really frustraing, I mean we cannot turn off the engine ever with any confidence that it will start.

If you bang on the throttle quadrant on open the engine compartment and move the spark plug wires or starting wire sometime it helps and then it cranks.

It has new batery and new battery wires.

Help.

Check for a loose ground strap on the engine. Also check all starter wire connections
