1977 Evinrude 35 HP Repair Info Needed

I am in Xcalak, Mexico. There is no phone, mail or electricity here. I have solar power and a satellite internet connection. Needless to say, there are no Evinrude shops around here. I recently purchased a 35 HP that needs a head gasket replaced. I have a new gasket in the spare parts but no manual. I do not recall if the head gasket requires a gasket compound or not and what kind. Also, if somebody could give me the bolt torque specs and sequence along with the compression specs I would be very much appreciative. I thank you in advance for your expeditious assistance.

I wish I had the luxuries of no electric or phone LOL!<br /><br />No sealer on the gasket! Torque bolts to 18 ft lbs starting from center working out.<br /><br />
