Not sure where to expect the water to come out from when the motor is running.
Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Re: 1977 Johnson 115 Hp

The overboard indicator (telltale) came out in 1978, the same year OMC went to the different powerhead base and dual thermostats. Your 77 will have a slight indicator of water flow. Start the engine when cold. Hold the palm of your hand back by the two rear exhaust relief ports at the top of the midsection. After a minute or so, the thermostat (vernatherm) will open. When it opens, water droplets will form on the palm of your hand. That's normal and indicates water flow thru the powerhead.

When you get it in the lake and run it you'll see more water out of them.
