I'm looking for replacement rub rail. The old stuff is aluminum and has been beat to death and it finaly gave way. I was looking to replace it but I can not find anything....Don't realy care about it being aluminum or rubber..just need to find some.

It is like a 5/8 lip x 1/4 thick area where the top and bottom come together.

Please Help me.

Do you know where to find replacement rub rail or something that would be able to work for this application? I've searched the net but nothing seems to be able to fit the 5/8 lip that sticks out from the boat. The 1/4 thick isn't a problem.

Any suggestion on what to do...(I know update to a newer model but this one has a lot of meaning to me)

Getting tired of seeing boats on the lake and mine in the garage....

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

blockhead I mean headblock;) You could also try Taco metals. They supply rubrail to allot of the manufacturers in the industry. If they do not have your exact replacement, I bet they will have a profile they will meet you needs. I have purchased two of there kits. One was for a runabout and the other is for my project boat in the link below. I like their kit. It comes with everything needed including screws and stiffeners for their rubber rubrails. They are certainly not cheap. I almost had a stroke writing the check for the kit for my larger project boat. It has not been installed yet. The other kit was for a 17' fish and ski. It was easy to install and came out looking great. I think iboats also carries their kits.
