Ok, I have a 1977 mariner 15hp I'm working on. The top coil was not firing when he brought it to me. I swapped wires on the coils and the top one was firing so both coils are good, both condensers/capacitors are good, and the magneto is good. I replaced the wiring harness and got both coils to throw spark. Put it all back together and it cranked right up the third pull and died instantly. Top coil was not firing... again. Took the flywheel back off and checked everything and it all looks good. What do y'all think could be the issue?
