1977 Mariner 16 foot

Hello all, the site is great and thank you so much for the postings. I need some help. My mariner does not have the middle seat behind the console. Do any of you have the measurement for this? It would appear to be a metal box, with wood lid, 3/4 the length of the beam. My Mariner is 16 feet in length. I picked up the boat yesterday and this is as far as I have got. I will be posting more if you want me to, as I try to work on my boats every Sunday as a stress management system. LOL... Thanks

Nice first day progress.

I think you are in the make what suits your needs area since you don't have the seat.

Must have looked like this originally, this is a 1971.

Added info - I would look at adding a cooler or live well seat at that location.
