Hey guys- out at the lake friday afternoon running my 40 hp merc. Cranked fine, idles fine and runs great up to half throttle, or just before boat gets on plane. As the rpm's start to increase, the motor drops a cylinder and loses power. Carb was rebuilt, new diaphram and check valves in fuel pump, new fuel line and primer bulb that is FIRM, etc. All ignition parts are brand new. The kicker is that if I disconnected the fuel line the motor would rev up fine once it started to starve for fuel. Am I getting too much gas?
