:embarassed:Question for some experts or very knowledgeable guy's. How the heck do the fuel lines hook to the fuel pump? I took mine off and forgot to make a note which line goes where. The bottom two are the two I can't remember. They are really hard to get to being on the bottom of the fuel pump, and seem to be crimping.

No I have this one but it just shows them both to the same spot. I have two fittings on the block. One is closer to the front of the motor closer to the carbs the other is just a bit further to the back closer to the spark plugs.

Those bottom hoses are the pulse lines. Make sure they do not kink. Hook them to whatever brass elbow is nearest. The original lines sometimes had a spring in them to keep them from kinking.

Thanks Chris, I got em hooked up. I figured by the looks of the diagram that it didn't matter which one went to which since they both do the same.
Also I had the lower cowl unhooked hence the kinking and it was just one of them. It's fixed now.
Now for a new question. The Stator wires coming from the bottom of the Stator, the insulation is completely dry rotten and crumbling off.
Is there anyway to change the wires or are they made in to the winding's ? If not I guess I'll be looking for a new Stator

The stator wires are moulded into the stator. I would put some shrink wrap over them and call it a draw. They are only 9A at most, and have nothing to do with the ign.

Thanks again Chris that's what I was thinking too but not sure if they may be shorting out on each other up in there.
Now for another question all three of the carbs are leaking at the bottom where the THROTTLE SHAFT is it's just a drip drip drip but I am sure they aren't supposed to do this.

The drip is likely caused by the floats being set too high, or the inlet needles being bad. You need to check them, replace worn parts and reset them to spec.

Thanks again for your help Chris. I think it's time to buy the carb rebuild kits. LOL It sure is running good on the muffs. But as you probably already know
a lake test will tell the whole story.

Yes, buy gasket sets, inlet needle and seats an new floats. Should be about $50 or so.

As far as the stator wires go,if you have a solid piece near the top splice in some new wire and then shrink wrap.
