I have a 1977 OMC sterndrive electric shift when I took it to the lake it worked fine for a few hours then suddenly jerked like it went out of gear I eased off the throttle and put it back into forward motion it worked good for about half and hour and since then it does not have any pulling power! The engine is perfect! I have took the sterndrive completely apart and I have no stripped shafts, no barrings bad, no spider gears bad. Both forward and reverse springs are still intact, I checked the resistance in the magnets they both read .004-.006 and the propeller is fine. Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Could it be anything in the intermediate housing?????????
