Hi - trying to fix up this inline six, still a bit green at this so I've been going slow.

I replaced the old bulb/fuel lines with the same diameter hose that was originally running from the tank, which was 1/4", but I've been seeing a few mentions of running 5/16" or even 3/4" all the way to the carbs. Will 1/4" starve the engine at WOT? Is is very important that I change them all out to a larger diameter?

The brass connectors into the carbs/pump seem a bit small for the larger hose though. I'm guessing all these elbows/connections need to be replaced with a larger diameter as well?

I also put an inline filter in between the pump and carb.

3/8 inside diameter is what it calls for and yes the brass ftg's in the connectors should be 3/8 as well. Make sure from the tank to the motor connector it is ALL 3/8 I.D. or else you will starve her. No do not change the fuel lines from the fuel pump to the carbs with larger diameter lines. Remember you have three fuel lines going into the carbs and they are smaller, but collectively they work off that 3/8 line. You cannot give her too much gas as the carbs only allow so much, but you can starve them with a small feed line. The inline filter, as long as the ID is the same as the lines it hooks up will work fine.

5/16" was recommended. I think that is marginal, and would use 3/8"
