1978 55hp carb linkage removal

So this is my virgin post at iboats, welcome to you guys! I was given my FIL's restored boat that hasn't been run in nearly 5 years. I've read through the 'awakening' thread and many of the carb rebuild threads. What I haven't found yet is anything showing how to remove the linkage - my Clymer manual doesn't show it, either. The idea of taking apart the thousand tiny objects in a carb doesn't scare me. But looking at the linkage gives me the hibbie-jibbies - I can't seem to figure it out! Is there help anywhere?

they just snap in the plastic clips. takes some pictures so you get them back correctly.

Thanks for the quick response! Seems to easy, but I'll give it a go today and see what happens. What's the worst that could happen? Fixing it is a 30 minute drive to the nearest dealer!
