1978 85 hp evinrude lower unit

hey guys there is a lower unit on ebay model #<br />135el76g serial#c7111 will this fit my 1978 85.hp evinrude.they said it came off a 85hp <br />but my guess is that it is a 1976 135 lower<br />ive seen on here a 1977 lower will shift backwards i sure dont need that lol<br />i thank all of you for the help i got here before

does any one make a manual for cross over parts<br />as to 1 model to another like automobiles have <br />i sure would like to have something like that so i woulnt have to bother you guys with these stupid questions. i hope some day to have the knowledge to answer a few myself as i have learned a lot from my boat
