first trip out with boat this year, started just fine and ran fine, when I shut it off and tried to restart it the battery went dead. so I used the trolling motor battery to start it and nothing, then i just jump the silenoid and it started. What did I screw up so that the key won't start the motor? Nothing works by turning the key, not even the the electric choke.. thanks for having the this wonderful website

The 20 amp fuse is probably blown. The holder is connected to the large incoming starter solenoid post and is usually mounted near the terminal block and rectifier on the engine.

Also, be sure that the engine and throttle handle are in neutral.

If it is the fuse, you will need a Buss AGA 20.
