1978 Johnson 150 NO SPARK port side HELP

'78 Johnson 150 V6 No spark on the entire port side. I switched the power packs around. (Figuring it was that) Still no spark on the port side. Where do I look next?

I also checked and cleaned all the grounds. I was blasting across the lake this weekend and it was like some one shut the key off. I was able to make it back on 3 cyls.

If it's not the power packs, it must be what is <br />triggering them. On a motor older than yours,<br />I would say points. On a newer motor the stator<br />or trigger coils under the flywheel. With your<br />motor, I'm not sure which apply.<br /><br />Mike
