To replace the two oil seals located in front of the prop,do you have to take the lower unit apart? Would be nice if they could be removed where they are positioned. alglenn@gulftel.com

I seen a kit for most OMC engines to remove these seals without removing the bearing carrier.<br />Look like a piece of pipe threaded on one end, pipe would slide over the prop shaft and screw into the seal. OMC part nunber 394931 for kit, part number for your engine is 434821.
